Story to Video
Turn your own story into a fully produced narrated video, assembled right here in your browser. Add scenes with your own images or GIFs, pick an AI voice (or a completely free one) for the narration, then layer in captions, a logo, background music, and a title or outro card. Export as a standard landscape video or vertical 9:16 for YouTube Shorts, in 720p or 1080p. The finished video's length isn't fixed — it naturally matches how long your narration takes to speak.
AI plans the scenes and generates an image for each one — just paste your story.
You control the visuals: add one scene at a time with its own narration text and your own image or GIF, then choose a voice, logo, music and format below. Only the narration uses AI, so this stays fast and low-cost to generate.
Free Voice options cost nothing.
Loops if shorter than your video, and stops at the end. Keep it low (10-25%) so narration stays clear.

Shown for a few seconds after the last scene. Leave blank to skip it.
1080p looks sharper but renders more slowly and is heavier on low-powered devices.
Keep this tab open and in view while it works — switching away for a long time can slow down the final rendering step.

Frequently asked questions
Is this tool free to use?
Yes, it is free and open to everyone. Narration can use a completely free in-browser voice, or a paid AI voice for more natural-sounding speech — your choice from the narrator dropdown.
How long will my video be?
The length is not fixed — it is generated to match exactly how long it takes to narrate your story, scene by scene. A short story makes a short video; a longer one makes a longer video.
How long does generation take?
Roughly as long as the finished video itself, plus a short amount of time to generate narration for each scene. A story that narrates to 2 minutes usually takes a few minutes in total.
How many scenes can I add?
Up to 50 scenes, each with its own narration text (up to 4,096 characters) and image or GIF.
Is my story or images uploaded anywhere?
Each scene's narration text is sent only to generate its audio. Your images and GIFs are never uploaded anywhere — they're read directly in your browser and drawn onto the video. The video itself is assembled locally and never uploaded to our server.
What if generation fails partway through?
Click Generate again to retry from the start. If one part of the story keeps failing, try simplifying or shortening that section.
What's the "Free Voice" option in the narrator list?
It runs an open-source narration model entirely in your own browser instead of using a paid AI voice, so narration costs nothing at all. The first time you use it, your browser downloads a roughly 90MB voice model (a one-time download — later videos in the same browser reuse it instantly).
Can I add my own logo to the video?
Yes. Upload a logo image and pick a corner (top left, top right, bottom left or bottom right) — it appears without an added background in that corner throughout the whole video.
Can the video show captions?
Yes, captions are on by default and show each scene's narration text at the bottom of the video as it's spoken. Uncheck "Show captions" if you don't want them.
Can I add background music?
Yes, upload a music file and choose its volume. It loops automatically if it's shorter than your video and stops when the video ends. Keep the volume low (10-25%) so it doesn't compete with the narration.
Can I add a title card or an outro?
Yes, both are optional text fields. If you fill in a title, it's shown as an intro card before Scene 1; if you fill in an outro (like a call-to-action), it's shown after the last scene. Leave either blank to skip it.
Can I make a vertical video for YouTube Shorts?
Yes, choose "Vertical 9:16 (YouTube Shorts)" under Video Format. You can also choose 720p or 1080p output quality.
